The HART Standard measures how AI reshapes work, judgment, and rights — and artists were some of the first people living that reshaping. The Artist Fellowship is where Heart & Logic invests directly in artists building fluency and ownership over the generative tools changing their craft.

Curiosity is the artist's edge over the tool. The fellowship gives working artists a structured way to question, remix, and build with generative AI — on their terms, with their crew, and in public.

- Ask what a tool changes about your process before you adopt it. Remix ideas that don't obviously belong together. Turn what frustrates you about a workflow into the next thing you build.
- Build with your crew Teamwork makes the work stronger
- Find collaborators with different skills — production, visual art, organizing — and learn from each other. Creative work made with AI is still made better in community, not alone.
- Show the work Sharing inspires the next person
- Present it, perform it, publish it. Sharing what you made — and how you made it — is how the fellowship's lessons reach the next cohort of artists.

First cohort: a hip-hop production workshop
Our first Creation Explorer cohort is a hip-hop production workshop for adult artists — writers, producers, and performers using AI-assisted tools to make and release real work, while staying in control of their sound, sample choices, and rights.

- Artists use generative tools for beat-making, sampling, and arrangement — learning what the tools are actually good for, and where they aren't.
- Question Consent, sampling, and likeness
- The workshop treats EDT-style questions — what a tool shouldn't be allowed to do with someone's voice or style — as part of the craft, not an afterthought.
- Release Real work, shared publicly
- The cohort's work is performed and released, not kept as a classroom exercise — demonstrating that artists lead when given structure and ownership.
