About this newsroom
Editorial info & corrections
The Heart and Logic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the neutral governing body of the HART Standard — Human Aligned Responsible Technology. The Foundation sets and maintains the Standard; it does not certify organizations against it. That work belongs to independent licensed certifiers, a separation of duties borrowed from ISO and other established standards bodies.
Who writes and publishes this
Everything in this newsroom is written, edited, and published by the Heart and Logic Foundation. Articles are bylined to the Foundation as the publishing organization rather than to individual staff. There is no outside sponsor, advertiser, or certifier with editorial input, and no paid placement — the newsroom exists to make the Foundation's decisions, announcements, and public appearances a matter of public record.
How the Foundation is funded
The Foundation is funded by grants, donations, consortium membership fees, licensing of the HART Standard, fees paid by licensed certifiers, and programs that support adoption of the Standard, such as compliance literacy training. Keeping the Standard governed by a nonprofit is what keeps it free of any single certifier's or vendor's commercial interest.
